Bakery. Cafe. Marketplace.

Our goal is to bring well-made, wholesome, and healthyish nourishment to Connecticut so we can encourage our community to flourish.

If you got into sourdough baking during quarantine, you understand that bread is an extremely delicate mix of art, science, and nurturing. When we decided to make a bakery a core component of Marketplace we knew nailing this fragile yeast alchemy was crucial. We brought over a talented team of bakers from Europe to help us develop a bread program that would match the level of quality we have dedicated ourselves to at Treva, A'vert Brasserie, ABC Artisanal Burger Company, and Zohara -- and we hope it shows (or should we say, tastes).

As soon as we started talking about creating a bakery and cafe space we knew an excellent coffee program was going to be essential to the success of our vision. We reached out to Connecticut’s Shearwater Coffee to collaborate with us on this effort -- and they responded with our own exclusive, signature roast of coffee. We are very excited to offer a naturally processed Honduran light roast with dark chocolate and strawberry notes for sale both in whole bean bags and sips on our patio with flaky baked croissants.

A marketplace is a space to buy, try, and experience the best goods our community has to offer -- from scratch-made baked bread and a warm cappuccino, to prepared sandwiches, salads, and desserts, to fresh pasta and pesto to bring home for dinner. Inspired by the cafes and bakeries of Europe, we seek to bring the best of DORO to our Marketplace to provide you with the nourishment you need to flourish, whether with us or at home.
